208|202|7||1674309001|7|1674494309|0|In the current technological revolution that we are living, there are multiple systems to carry out a backup process, there are more and more options to choose from, and one of those options is Snebu. Therefore, we will dedicate this section to give our opinion about this tool.
Snebu
Snebu is a high-performance snapshot-style backup system built to run on Linux. This system supports compression, deduplication and optional public key encryption, so it can operate in single host mode, push mode (the user sends data to the server) or it can also operate in pull mode (the server pulls data from the client) via SSH.
Our opinion Snebu presents some striking features, the 5 features that we consider most striking of this system are: - Centrally managed - Snapshot backups - Database-backed metadata catalog - File-level deduplication (on backup sets and clients) - Compression
We love that this system offers such features, needless to say that they are very necessary features in a system whose main function is to perform backups, although there are other alternatives on the market, not all of them offer the same features that Snebu gives to the community.
In the specific case of Snebu we want to emphasize that we have only made an emphasis on the 5 most striking features, which in our opinion, may be the most important of the system, however if we make a technical study of the tool, we can mention at least 10 main features, which may outweigh other similar systems. In this opportunity we have chosen not to provide a too technical opinion, but rather a general opinion about this program, therefore, we just want to say that we consider Snebu as a necessary tool if you want to perform backups, although we are aware that there are other tools that have similar features, even could improve the Snebu package, however we bet that Snebu is undoubtedly among the best tools today for this purpose./ /
